Description:

N Plus - N+ is a Platformer 2D video game published by Atari released on August 26th, 2008 for the PlayStation Portable.

Review by DAReezan:

avatar=443_1410657936.jpgPlatforming with a twist, N+ is a very simple platformer with a very complex layout. You play as a ninja in this game whose metabolism gives him a very short life-span and a need for gold. Each stage has a time limit and there are various golden coins scattered throughout said stage. Collecting the gold coins increases the player’s time limit making it a necessary item to collect.

There’s not really a story behind the game so the main factor that drives it forward is the gameplay and level design. The levels are designed so any threats will instantly kill the player should they make a wrong move. There are various, and I mean various, types of drones that will try to kill the player: Laser, machine gun, flying, ground-based, chasing and missile seeking. Not to mention the mines, lasers, and missiles that is fired at you all the time. Sometimes all it takes is a fall from a certain height to kill the player.

Other dangers include one way walls that might sometimes trap the player and randomly falling blocks. Sometimes the player will be required to solve a puzzle in order to clear the stage and switches are sometimes placed in order to unlock certain doors.

Overall:

This game is good for anyone looking for a challenge or a game to kill some time. The lack of a story or any form of driving the player to strive to beat the game might cause some to put the game down. But play it for the challenge, not for the story or a lack thereof.
