WITHOUT PATCH: SCREEN MODE "NORMAL" 4:3 (RETAINS 1:1 PIXEL RATE)
This mode uses all the PSP's 272 pixels of height, but because the game hides a portion up and down we see black bars. The black bars on the left and right is because there's no content in that area to show.
WITH PATCH SCREEN MODE "NORMAL" 4:3 (RETAINS 1:1 PIXEL RATE)
Same mode as before, the patch uncover the content at the top and bottom of the screen. Retaining 1:1 pixel perfect and 4:3 aspect ratio.
WITH PATCH SCREEN MODE "FULL SCREEN" 16:9
This mode stretch the image horizontally to cover everything, the mode looks distorted. If this was un-patched there would be black bars up and down. The image is distorted EQUALLY in full-screen with or without the patch. The patch doesn't add or remove pixels simply uncovers the ones hidden behind the horizontal bars.
