Review by Shinny:
Released back in 1995 for the SNES, Tactics Ogre finally made its way to PSP, as an enhanced port of the original game. The game is fully re-designed and features tons of new stuff and unique elements of gameplay that makes the game feel fresh for new players and yet maintain an nostalgic feeling for hardcore fans. Just like the PS1 version, the game takes place on 2 major planes, on the world map and on battlefield, and this is where the remake shines, from now you can deploy up to 12 characters and assign a smart AI to every unit if you are not willing to control them all. The battle system remains the same but refreshed there and there, if you are familiar with FFT then you know what Im talking about. One of new features is that when your character dies, he wont completely disappear like in older games, hes still alive and will remain alive for two more times, thats a pretty nice feature for newcomers. The game is packed with new allies, new areas, has a skill system now and new dialogues for old fans to read, not to mention the sound this game offers, the rearranged soundtrack is so good, its not just good, it takes a special place in my iPod library so you better go get it, even if you didnt played the game, its superb on its own. Overall the game is awesome, its better than the first games and believe it or not, theres nothing wrong with it, its flawless, its interesting, looks pretty, plays well and ohh the soundtrack is amazing. After playing it, I just cant return to older games, and i give it an 9,5/10, this is a true master piece!
